The program
This season we're exploring one question…how do we support young people as they thrive in today's digital world? We do this by ensuring young people have the tools to tell their own stories, challenge what's being told to them, and showcase their creativity and leadership.

What we do
Be Loud Radio teaches podcasting and radio production, personal storytelling, community journalism, media literacy, and youth leadership — with high school Junior Producers mentoring middle school DJs every step of the way. Young people don't just learn the gear; they learn how to use their voice on purpose.
Every session, young DJs write, record, and produce their own segments — then release them to a real audience on WHIV 102.3FM, Spotify, Apple Podcasts, YouTube, and other social platforms. The work is theirs from the first idea to the final mix.
Our values
We All Run This Station. DJs aren't just participants; they're the owners. They handle stories, operate recording gear, and edit their work as they see fit.
We Only Get Better Through Feedback. DJs push each other to improve by sharing honest, constructive feedback on each other's segments.
Show Up and Be Loud. Loud doesn't just mean volume. It means being bold, positive, kind, and courageous — and authentically yourself — on the mic and in life.
